Copenhagen, Denmark, can get pricey for anyone’s budget, but makes up for it with an abundance of free tourist attractions. Travelers who enjoy exploring museums can particularly benefit from this as the city has a number of great museums that offer free entrance. Check out the best of them below.

The David Collection

The David Collection was established in 1948 by businessman C. L. David, who wanted to showcase his extensive art collection to the world. Since then, the museum has become one of Copenhagen’s best spots to enjoy fine art thanks to works from notable European and Danish artists as well as an impressive collection of Islamic art.

Copenhagen Cathedral Museum

If you want to learn more about Copenhagen Cathedral and discover some of its secrets, then paying a visit to its museum is well worth it. You will be able to roam the cathedral, marvel at its interior decorations, see a short film about its history, and do all of that for free.

Glyptoteket

Glyptoteket has one of the largest collections of antique sculptures in Europe, making them a focal point of the museum’s work. However, the visitors can also enjoy works of notable Impressionist and Post-impressionist artists like Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Paul Cézanne, and Vincent van Gogh. Note that the museum offers free entry only on the last Wednesday of each month.
