How do you fight it? The Dutch have an answer. It’s impossible to feel sad when you’re surrounded by 200,000 tulips, and that’s exactly what happened in Amsterdam last Saturday. The city of Amsterdam covered the Dam Square with hundreds of thousands of free tulips, and anyone interested could take home up to 20.

Tulip growers helped visitors make colorful bouquets. “I came with some of my friends and also my family just for this event, for the National Tulip Day, the start of the tulip season,” said a visitor Fuschia Ramadhanti, who came from Indonesia just to see the tulips, as reported by AP News.

Having a fresh tulip bouquet can lift your mood and remind you that the cold days are almost over and that spring is around the corner.
