]]> The UK’s biggest theme park has launched a huge new feature for 2019 – the “Alton Towers Dungeon.”

The dungeon will feature live actors, exciting technology and interactive shows. It also includes a boat ride and the whole experience will last 45 minutes.

To experience the new feature, you will have to add an extra ÂŁ5 ($7) fee to your ticket. The attraction is not recommended for children under 10 but is design to be thrilling and fun for family audiences.

Alton Towers have now confirmed that The Alton Towers Dungeon will be arriving in 2019. Rumours have swirled regarding a Dungeon attraction for some time, with a trademark submission for Alton Towers Dungeon being submitted in June this year. The long closed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory site has stood unused since the end of the 2015 season, after the resort initially announced a temporary closure for the 2016 season. Recent weeks have seen activity increase around the ride, with a Merlin Magic Making trailer and various being positioned outside, indicating work being carried out inside. A spokesman for Alton Towers said: “New for 2019, the Alton Towers Dungeon is a hilariously hideous journey through Staffordshire’s darkest history.

“Guests will be screaming with laughter whilst being sentenced by the Bishop of Stafford, surviving the plague, enduring the torturer and also making a stop at the Witch of Burslem’s haunted cottage.

“The Alton Towers Dungeon will draw on the best of the Dungeons’ brand and apply Alton Towers’ expertise in family entertainment to bring to life some of the spookiest tales from the local area.”

The attraction will be open when the park opens its doors for 2019 on March 23.
