]]>Walk along the ancient walls that have defended the town for centuries. These ramparts offer terrific views of the warm sandstone houses and the beautiful mountainous landscapes that surround them.
Built at the highest point of the walls and on the edge of a cliff, this Muslim watchtower was built in the 10th century.
Built in the 15th century, this majestic Roman Catholic church has been renovated to reflect its former glory. You can now see the traces of the Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles incorporated within it, as well as the vibrant frescoes inside.
The city’s castle dominates the skyline. Sitting proudly atop the highest mountain in the area, it regally surveys the town and the surrounding countryside.
Due to the highly prevalent red sandstone rock formations in the area, the town is also a center for bouldering. This is a form of rock climbing that uses shorter rocks but only uses the hands. No harnesses!
